Led by Professor Li and Professor Tsai, the Honors Program hosted their Mini-Conference on 14th of June at CPBAE NCCU, where students presented the academic research they have developed throughout the semester.

Their research covered a wide range of disciplines, including health policy, public health, sociology, art history, demography, economics, psychology, behavioral genetics, law, and political science, and these reflected the depth and diversity of our students academic interests.

Each presenter demonstrated thoughtful inquiry and rigorous analysis. The conference featured engaging discussions, as students not only shared their research motivation, findings and limitations, but also participated in scholarly dialogue with incisive questions from the audience.

We believe that everyone who participated gained valuable experience from this event. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to and supported the conference, and we look forward to welcoming you to our next academic gathering.

由李教授及蔡教授所帶領的 VIS Honors Program 六月十四日於 #政大公企中心 舉行本學期的 Mini-Conference。20 位 Honors Program 學生輪番呈現本學期的學術研究成果。

本次研究主題包羅萬象，涵蓋衛生政策、公共衛生、社會學、藝術史、人口統計學、經濟學、心理學、行為遺傳學、法學、政治學等領域，充分體現學生視野開闊、學養深厚的學術底蘊。

與會學生皆展現深思熟慮的研究態度與一絲不苟的分析能力。會場討論熱烈，發表者不僅闡述研究動機、成果以及研究限制，也在觀眾犀利提問的激盪下，展開富有深度的學術對話。

從學生的研究主題，我們可以看出他們跨領域整合能力。

當今世界問題，早已無法用單一學科解決。醫療牽涉政策與經濟，人口老化牽涉社會制度與健康照護，人工智慧更同時影響法律、倫理與產業發展。未來最需要的人才，不只是知道答案的人，而是能夠整合不同知識、理解複雜問題並提出創新觀點的人。

在 VIS，我們相信教育除了基本功夫，即累積知識以外，更是培養學生面對未知世界的能力。

學生在 Honors Program 李教授與蔡教授的指導下完成選題、文獻閱讀、研究設計、資料分析、論文撰寫與公開發表，並提早接觸大學甚至研究所層級的研究訓練，學習如何提出問題、驗證假設、分析證據並建立論述。

我們深信，所有參與者皆從此次研討會中獲益良多。謹向所有投入籌備與支持活動的師生致上誠摯謝意，並期待在未來的學術聚會中再次相聚、持續對話。
