Last week, our G7 students in Mr. Sotomayor's PBL class went on a field trip to Treasure Hill, a historic neighborhood in Taipei that has transformed from a veterans' settlement into a thriving artist village.

The trip is connected with their PBL theme "Picture This," which explores the intersection between art and sustainability. A local guide named Jo An, who was born in Treasure Hill, led the students on a fully English tour through the village, starting from the temple entrance, all the way through the alleys, and ending by the riverside.

Students witnessed how this community evolved over time, and how it has preserved its local heritage while embracing creative and sustainable renewal. 

上週，G7 學生在 Mr. Sotomayor 的 PBL 課堂上前往寶藏巖進行實地參訪。此次行程呼應他們的 PBL 主題 Picture This，探討藝術與永續發展之間的關聯。

寶藏巖作為臺北著名的藝術聚落，以其從眷村蛻變為藝術村的過程聞名，正是文化保存與再生的典範。參訪當日，由出生於寶藏巖的導覽員 Jo An 以全英文帶領學生，從入口處的寺廟一路走至聚落高處，再漫步至河堤邊，細細講解此地的歷史脈絡與社區轉型。

學生們穿梭於狹仄的巷弄之間，體驗這座聚落如何在時代更迭中，從庶民生活的記憶，化為承載藝術與永續理念的所在。
