We sincerely thank the Taiwan in Österreich 駐奧地利代表處

for recommending Ms. Solmaz Khorsand, a journalist from Vienna, to explore Taipei during VIS's #Discover #Taipei program over the winter break.

Led by alumna Katherine Chou, we visited #Dadaocheng, #Dihua Street (currently bustling with Lunar New Year goods), and local temples to experience Taiwan's #traditional temple culture. Finally, our students had the valuable opportunity to be interviewed by Ms. Solmaz Khorsand at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

We enjoyed a delightful lunch together and presented Ms. Solmaz Khorsand with gifts including the VIS winter hoodie designed by our alum Larry Huang, Taiwan specialty teas, VIS eco-friendly bags, and more.

We extend our special thanks to Ms. Solmaz Khorsand, Co-principal Investigator 曹順成, Discover Taipei Teacher 謝佳真 Teacher, and students G11 林侑恆 Haley, 王啟恩 Jordan, and G09 林曉涵 Autumn for their participation, which made the event a success!

VIS衷心感謝 Taiwan in Österreich 駐奧地利代表處 的推薦，使得 VIS 的 #Discover #Taipei 課程能夠在寒假期間，帶領來自 #維也納 的 #知名記者 Ms. Solmaz Khorsand探索台北。由校友 Katherine Chou 帶領參訪了 #大橋頭、#迪化街（目前正逢 #年貨大街）、以及 #當地特色廟宇，體驗台灣的 #傳統廟宇文化。最後，VIS 的學生在 #中正紀念堂 接受了Ms. Solmaz Khorsand的 #國際訪問，這對彼此來說都是一次寶貴的經歷。

Ms. Solmaz Khorsand是史上出版期間最長、奧地利官方報紙-《 #維也納日報》創辦314年以來 #首位女性社論作家，並獲得 #維也納記者獎 殊榮。身為伊朗流亡後裔，她是西方少數前往伊朗及阿富汗報導當地局勢及戰爭期間日常生活的記者。

大家還一起享用了美味的火鍋午餐，並贈送由VIS校友 Larry Huang 親手設計的 VIS 冬季帽T、具有台灣特色的 #京盛宇茶葉、VIS環保袋...等禮品。
