10年級學生參觀NTU科學實驗室探索pH值

On Monday, our Grade 10 students visited the NTU science lab to dive into the world of pH levels. They began by using pH test strips to measure various substances, observing the vibrant color changes. Then, they experimented with cabbage juice as a natural pH indicator, noting how it shifted from red to purple to dark blue as solutions changed from acidic to alkaline.

They tested substances like NaHCO₃, bleach, Milk of Magnesia, dishwashing detergent, fruit vinegar, lemon juice, green tea, sparkling water, and Sprite. In class, our teacher explained that the more OH⁻ ions a solution contains, the stronger its alkalinity, and the more H⁺ ions, the stronger its acidity. It was a hands-on experience that truly brought chemistry to life!

就在週一,我們的十年級學生前往台大科學實驗室,深入探索 pH 值的世界。他們首先使用 pH 試紙測量各種物質,觀察生動的顏色變化。接著,他們以捲心菜汁作為天然 pH 指示劑,注意到溶液從酸性到鹼性時,顏色如何從紅色轉變為紫色,再到深藍色。他們測試了 NaHCO₃、漂白水、氧化鎂乳劑、洗碗精、果醋、檸檬汁、綠茶、氣泡水和雪碧等物質。在課堂上,老師解釋了溶液中含有越多 OH⁻ 離子,其鹼性越強;含有越多 H⁺ 離子,其酸性越強。這是一個讓化學變得生動有趣的實作體驗!
