Yesterday, our VIS Junior High G6 students welcomed Ms. Yuan Chin Chin from 兒童世界報報 (Broadcast 4 Kids) for a special guest session on podcast production as part of their Digital Literacy PBL project.
Last week, students headed to SH campus and learned the basics of podcast making from their peers in the VIS RADIO class. This week, they took the next step by learning directly from a professional!
Ms. Chin began with a short personality test, encouraging students to reflect on their strengths and how these might shape their roles in a podcast team. After all, podcast production involves more than recording audio. From scriptwriting to recording, different tasks cater to different strengths and personalities.
Students then learned about one of the most important steps in creating an engaging podcast: understanding their target audience. Working in groups, they practiced developing different hooks for different audiences and discovered how the right opening can capture listeners' attention.
Ms. Chin also shared practical tips on scriptwriting, including how proper punctuation helps presenters deliver their lines naturally and expressively. Confidence and a suitable recording environment are equally important in producing a clear, engaging podcast.
Ms. Chin plans to return next month to provide first-hand feedback on the students’ podcasts as they develop their projects. A heartfelt thank-you to Ms. Yuan Chin for sharing her professional expertise and helping our young creators turn their ideas into stories worth listening to!
昨天，VIS 邀請《兒童世界報報》（Broadcast 4 Kids）的 Ms. Yuan Chin 老師來到國中部 G6 的 PBL 課。Ms. Chin 帶學生認識 podcast 製作的技巧，為 Digital Literacy 注入專業觀點。
上週，G6 學生前往高中部，向 VIS RADIO 的學長姐學習 Podcast 製作的基本功，而這週，他們向業界專業人士請益。Ms. Chin 先以一項簡短的性格測驗，引導學生認識自己的優勢，思考如何在 Podcast 團隊中找到適合自己的角色。畢竟，製作 Podcast 不是只是拿起麥克風錄音，從腳本撰寫到實際錄製，每個環節都有不同的任務，也需要不同的能力與特質。
接著，學生認識到製作 Podcast 的關鍵之一就是了解受眾群。學生分組練習並嘗試為不同的受眾群設計不同的開場，學習如何在節目一開始就抓住聽眾的注意力，讓他們願意繼續聽下去。
Ms. Chin 也分享了實用的腳本撰寫技巧，說明標點符號如何幫助主持人掌握語氣與節奏，讓口語表達更自然、更有感染力。除此之外，充足的自信與合適的錄音環境，也是讓節目聲音清晰、內容引人入勝的重要關鍵。
Ms. Chin 預計下個月再回訪聆聽學生的 Podcast 作品並提供回饋，陪伴他們持續完善 PBL project。感謝 Ms. Chin 無私分享專業知識與實務經驗，幫助年輕創作者將想法化為引人入勝、值得細細聆聽的故事！
