The Environmental Science and Engineering PBL course welcomed Mr. Jason Kao, a hydroponics farmer in Taichung. Through his presentation and workshop he shared his knowledge and expertise on how to grow plants in hydroponic systems.

They compared six different growing systems and practiced how to make the nutrient solution for lettuce. The students are now excited for their next steps in designing, building, and testing their own hydroponic system.
