上週 VIS 國中部進行了完整的消防與地震防災演習，透過實際演練，讓學生在真實情境中建立正確的應變觀念與行動能力。

本次演習分為兩個階段：地震當下的即時防護，以及震後的安全疏散。當模擬地震發生時，學生在老師的引導下迅速採取「趴下、掩護、穩住」的正確應對方式，躲至堅固物體（如課桌）下方，並確實抓緊桌腳以避免移動。過程中，學生也進一步釐清常見迷思，包括地震發生時不應急著開門或奔跑，而是應優先確保自身安全。

待震動停止後，全體學生依照指示有序撤離，前往指定的空曠安全區域集合。整體過程井然有序，展現出良好的紀律與應變能力。

在 VIS，我們相信學習不僅止於知識的累積，更在於面對真實世界的準備。透過這類貼近生活的防災演練，學生不僅提升安全意識，也培養在關鍵時刻冷靜判斷、有效行動的能力。

Last week, VIS Junior High School conducted a fire and earthquake preparedness drill, giving students the opportunity to practice essential safety skills in realistic scenarios.

The drill was carried out in two phases: earthquake response and post-earthquake evacuation. When the simulated earthquake began, students, guided by their teachers, quickly followed the “Drop, Cover, Hold On” procedure. They took shelter under sturdy desks and securing themselves safely. Through this exercise, students also reinforced important safety concepts, such as staying calm and avoiding the urge to run or open doors during shaking.

Once the shaking stopped, students evacuated in an orderly and efficient manner to a designated safe area. The process was smooth and well-coordinated, demonstrating strong discipline and preparedness.
