近期 VIS 學生參與了 YMUNT XII（Yale Model United Nations Taiwan），在高強度的國際模擬會議理解全球議題。YMUNT 為臺灣具代表性的高中生模擬聯合國會議之一。會議是由國際團隊籌辦，並延續了 #耶魯大學 模擬聯合國的精神與架構。YMUNT 的慣例即以全英語進行，並設有多元委員會與議題，從國際政治、歷史事件到當代全球挑戰等。學生需代表不同國家立場，透過演說、辯論、提案與協商，嘗試在多方利益之間尋求共識，過程中不僅訓練英語表達能力，更深化批判思考、邏輯分析與即時應變能力。這些都是培養未來領袖所需的思維與能力。

以下是 Francis 針對這次 YMUNT XII 的心得：

YMUNT this time was a remarkable experience. Being my fourth conference, I felt both nervous and excited stepping into the committee. The nerves came from wanting to perform well and live
up to the expectations I had set for myself, while the excitement came from knowing how much I had grown since my first conference. I was more confident in speaking, clearer in presenting ideas, and better at working with others to build consensus. Each debate reminded me that Model

UN is not just about competition but about learning how to collaborate, compromise, and lead. Looking back, although I don’t think I performed at my absolute best, this conference showed
me how far I’ve come and how much further I can go. YMUNT continues to be a space where I challenge myself and discover new strengths.
