今天要介紹的是 G12 May Tseng 的作品《光構城市（Layered City）》。

May 長期投入藝術創作，曾參與多項國際藝術競賽並獲獎，包括 羅浮宮國際藝術大賽（Louvre International ART Competition）與 巴洛克藝術獎（IGEAAA）。今年，她將對臺灣文化的觀察融入作品，以印花板與鮮豔色彩，描繪屬於臺灣的城市文化風景。

在《光構城市》中，不同色彩象徵著臺灣多元的人群與文化；寺廟、夜市等熟悉的城市元素，則被重新排列與組合，呈現傳統文化與現代生活之間既緊密又不斷變化的連結。

對 May 而言，藝術是一種理解地方、文化與身份的方式。透過色彩、圖像與構圖，她將日常生活中的臺灣轉化為具有個人觀點的視覺語言，也讓觀者重新看見那些熟悉卻容易被忽略的文化符號。

Today, we take a closer look at "Layered City" by G12 student May Tseng.

May has participated in and received awards from several international art competitions, including the Louvre International ART Competition and IGEAAA.

Through printed boards and vibrant colors, Layered City explores Taiwan’s distinctive cultural landscape. The different colors represent the diversity of people and cultures across Taiwan, while familiar elements such as temples and night markets connect traditional culture with contemporary everyday life.

Rather than simply depicting Taiwan, May’s work invites viewers to consider how culture lives within our daily surroundings, as well as how art can offer us a new way to see the places we call home.
