Building Belonging in G6 PBL

Yesterday in Ms. Tran's PBL class, we welcomed our college counselors, Ms. Shih and Ms. Kuo, for a special session on the theme of belonging and needs. They introduced this topic through the metaphor of a "class container."

The session began with a short mindfulness meditation, which helps students reflect and center themselves before diving into discussion. Together, they explored what makes their class feel safe and connected, what their needs are, and how those needs can be met.

To bring their ideas to life, students created a real "class container", which is a box filled with sticky notes representing their collective thoughts and feelings.

This activity ties into their ongoing PBL project, Building Belonging, which will culminate in the December PBL Exhibition. We're excited to see how their ideas evolve and take shape!
