PBL class at VIS JH

During Ms. Blackwood and Mr. Brand's PBL class, students worked on their Unit 1 presentation, in which students were charged with redesigning their bedroom utilizing Feng Shui and manual operations. Through identifying issues in their room and fixing them using Feng Shui and Automation, students start the process of logical thinking and creating the skills necessary to eventually redesign larger public spaces for a community. 

In Mr. Rowles and Mr. Sotomayor's class, G7 students were divided into groups and discussed about how they can utilize different natural resources, using a spider diagram. These help them connect themselves with real-world issues.

We're excited to see how they incorporate their findings into their PBL Exhibition this June!

在 Ms. Blackwood 與 Mr. Brand 指導的 PBL 課程中,學生正為 Unit 1 簡報進行準備。本單元的核心任務,是運用風水理念,結合手動設計與自動化(Automation)概念,重新規劃自己的臥室空間。

學生首先辨識房間中可能影響動線、舒適度與功能性的問題,再透過風水原則與自動化設計提出改善方案。在這個過程中,學生逐步培養邏輯推理與系統思考能力,為未來進一步設計社區公共空間奠定基礎。

同時,在 Mr. Rowles 與 Mr. Sotomayor 的課堂中,G7 學生分組利用蜘蛛網概念圖,討論如何善用不同自然資源。透過視覺化的思考工具,學生得以梳理想法,並將課堂知識與現實世界的議題相互連結。

我們也十分期待看到學生在今年六月的 PBL 成果展中,如何將這些觀察與研究成果具體呈現!
