There was an oral presentation in class. Before the lesson, students were asked to prepare a gift for a character learnt from the reader.

Hence, the students needed to revisit the story and plan the ideas (the gift) based on their understanding of that character. After finishing all the presentations, there was a Q&A session which encouraged peer learning.

To round up the lesson, formative feedback was given to help the students improve their presentation skills.
