In G10B PBL Trust Your Gut, students learn about the practices of #ethical eating and its #socio-#environmental factors. They learn about how to determine whether food is ethical depending on how the food was grown, planted, produced, manufactured, transported, etc. In addition, they also have the opportunity to reflect on their own diets and whether they are ethical.

For environmental justice, they conducted research about #unethical practices around the world that might harm the environment. They then brainstormed ways to solve them in the form of a #PSA.

Finally, students put their learning into practice by creating their own ethical lunch boxes, which involved designing ethical meals and learning to justify their choices. Overall, students explored food ethics from multiple #perspectives or #lenses and developed their own moral scales on what is ethical in a diet. They learned to trust their guts when choosing what they consume and learned to answer the question, “Whose life is more valuable?” through practicing ethical eating.
