VIS students visited Ambassador Hsieh Chih-Wei in Berlin, Germany. We are grateful for Ambassador Hsieh’s inspiration and encouragement to the Taiwanese students!

In his speech to the VIS students, Ambassador Hsieh encouraged everyone to cherish the opportunity to visit Germany, emphasizing that this is a valuable moment to explore different perspectives of the world. He highlighted that through such international educational trips, students can broaden their horizons, not only by learning about Germany’s geographical and historical position but also by experiencing cultural diversity. He urged the students to start thinking about how to introduce Taiwan to the world, and through engaging with people from different countries, they would gain a deeper understanding of their own country and culture.

Ambassador Hsieh also shared his own experiences in Germany over the years, pointing out that such opportunities help students build lasting international friendships, which could play important roles in their future lives. He stressed that cross-cultural interactions are a key part of learning, and this visit will equip students with the skills to face challenges in their future. Finally, he expressed his gratitude to Chancellor Huang for providing this opportunity to the students and hoped they would have a fruitful experience during their time in Germany.
