Only students who have experienced holistic development would grow up to become global citizens, which is one of the philosophies of VIS. As important as learning other subjects, it is equally important that students can get a proper education in science and are taken on field trips . Giving equal weightage to indoor and outdoor activities is what VIS science lab pursues to prepare students well for what lies outside in the real world. We not only treat field trips as a novelty but also as a necessity because they are given due importance and contribute to a well-rounded education in learning, access to different environments, and social interaction.

Taipei zoo was founded in 1914. For most people in their 60s, this is a go-to locale to observe wild animals and enjoy low -cost kid's facilities 50 years ago. With increased social awareness concerning nature conservation and environmental education, the Taipei Zoo is now well-equipped with expertise in animal care and knowledge of natural history. The role it plays can bring a one-dimensional lesson to life and create interest in a subject, something that is hard to duplicate through classroom lectures!
