The Issue of God in Darwin’s “The Origin of Species”

In 1859, Charles Darwin published "On the Origin of Species," which is the first theory of evolution ever proposed saying that natural selection is modified by chance rather than directly from the organic being itself. Despite widespread acceptance of this theory today, Darwin faced opposition from religious groups who saw it as conflicting with the idea of God's creation. While evidence has continued to accumulate in favor of evolution, the debate between science and religion persists across different cultural and ideological contexts. The question of whether evolution and religious beliefs can be reconciled remains a contentious issue in modern society, with widely varying opinions and ongoing discussions.

Honors Program同學們在 大學教授 指導下，在校內及各大學實驗室進行專題研究，同時閱讀經典著作，領域橫跨分子生物學、醫學工程、經濟、歷史、哲學和國際關係等。
