What is an SLC (Student Led Conference)?

It's a parent-teacher conference with a PBL twist. Normally, parents and students talk at these meetings and the student just sits there passively. An SLC is student-led. They prepare what they want to talk about and lead the meeting. The goal is for kids to reflect on how they are doing and set a goal to improve.

Ideally, it's the student and family sitting down with all the POD teachers (Math and English if possible). It's a group meeting. This keeps things efficient and allows students and families to see patterns across classrooms. Meetings last about 30 mins. If parents need more time, please come talk to Academic office to schedule another appointment.

2023/04/10 to 04/21 (Monday to Friday ) 16:00-17:00

**How long: 20-25 mins for each appointment

**Location: VIS 6th floor

**Important: Students must attend and lead the meeting. No kid, no meeting. The student needs to be prepared. Teachers will give students prep materials. If you couldn't join the meeting, student will need to have independent SLC with teacher during PBL time, and we will provide the meeting minutes to you.

一般的親師會是老師和家長討論，而孩子只是在旁聆聽，SLC則是由學生親自主導。

同學們需事先準備好想談論的議題，並帶領整個晤談。目的是讓孩子們反思自己的表現並設定改善及進步的目標。

VIS的親師生晤談期待讓學生及家長和老師們一同小組討論，創造更高效率，並讓學生和家長們充分了解VIS課堂運作模式。每組20-25分鐘。如果您需要更多時間，請與教務處聯繫另行安排晤談時間。

**地點: VIS 六樓

**學生必須一同出席參加，老師會協助學生準備晤談，若家長有任何想了解的訊息都可以先跟學生討論好。若家長時間無法配合參加，學生將與PBL授課老師進行晤談，學校將提供會議紀錄給家長。
