Today, I visited an incineration plant located in the woods with the main purpose of gaining a clearer understanding of this semester’s PBL theme. Our goal for this semester‘s PBL is to reduce air pollution and give nature a cleaner Earth. The staff explained the amount of waste generated in a single day in New Taipei City and how they transform this waste into electricity. The idea of giving new value to what seems worthless was truly admirable. It also made me reflect on my daily habits and whether if all of us could reduce a bit of waste, it could bring a little more comfort to our planet.

今天拜訪了座落於樹林的焚化廠，主要目的是為了對這學期PBL的主題有一個更清晰的概念。我們這學期PBL的目標是減少空氣污染，好還給自然萬物一個更乾淨的地球。工作人員講解了單單一個新北市一天所製造的垃圾量和他們是如何把這些垃圾轉換成電力。把沒有價值的雜碎重新賦予價值，令我感到欽佩。也帶我重新省思我平時的生活習慣，是不是我們大家都減少一點浪費，就能帶給地球多一分愜意？
