Imagine that you are a nobleman in the Medieval Times who rules a group of citizens. How do you want to build your town, defend against foreign enemies, establish order, and become a self-sufficient community ? This is not a video game. We introduced Medieval manors in our PBL class this week, a historically significant society system.

Our students became noblemen within groups and discussed the location of key structures including churches, farms and watermills. Students used creativity to solve problems and learn about the community structure. By the end of class, their creations almost seemed real!

想像你是中古世紀的國王，管理一群屬於你的人民，你要如合建造你的城鎮，抵禦外敵，建立秩序，成為一個自給自足的社會呢？這可不是電玩遊戲喔，我們在PBL課程中介紹了Medieval Manor，這個富有歷史意義的社會結構學習主題，讓同學分組成為國王，看著同學熱烈的討論著教堂的位置、士兵的安排、村民的生活需求，一起發揮想像力的同時，也對小型社會結構有更深的了解。在課程結束時，小組各自發表，一個個獨特的國家好像真的存在呢！
